Brainy Beanies at Fieldays 2025
Brainy Beanies Shine at Fieldays 2025 – Raising Funds, Awareness, and Voices

Fieldays 2025 saw the return of Brainy Beanies—and what a phenomenal few days it was for Brain Tumour Support NZ (BTSNZ)! With over 1000 handcrafted beanies on display from generous creators across the motu, our upgraded site—complete with a sturdy weatherproof marquee, warm lighting, and a prime location outside the Health Hub—became a hub of warmth, connection, and purpose.
For four vibrant days, the Brainy Beanies exhibition stall was more than just a fundraiser—it was a gathering space. Visitors stopped by not just to browse and buy, but to share. Many took a moment to tell us about their personal experiences with brain tumours, and we were honoured to listen. These shared stories remind us why we do what we do—no one should face a brain tumour diagnosis alone.
Sales of Brainy Beanies go directly toward funding our Brain Boxes— a vital box of resoures we send to those newly diagnosed. Each purchase makes a difference.
“It’s one of the things I love most about Fieldays,” said one BTSNZ team member. “We’re not just selling beanies—we’re holding space for people. Every conversation is a reminder that our work matters.”
To everyone who stopped at our site—whether you bought a beanie, made a donation, or simply shared a smile—nga mihi nui. Your support helps ensure we can keep walking alongside Kiwis through one of the toughest times of their lives.
Missed us this time? Brainy Beanies are available online year-round. But nothing quite beats the Fieldays magic—see you next year!
A big thanks of appreciation to funders, Waikato Sunrise Rotary, Harcourts Foundation and The Clements Trust for their assistance in enabling us to attend again this year.
