GBM Survivor Kate Coatsworth featured in a story on 1 News at Six

As one of the rarer cancers, brain tumours don’t often receive the publicity and air time that the more common cancers do. Thanks to our fundraising champion Kate Coatsworth, brain tumours were featured on prime time television on Monday 7 September as Kate launched her Beating the Track for Brain Cancer mission to walk the length of New Zealand. Through the telling of her own story with a glioblastoma, Kate highlighted the lack of awareness and support for brain tumour patients here, and why she is fundraising for Brain Tumour Support NZ. We are hugely indebted to Kate and her support team for this valuable exposure. Our thanks also to Hayley Holt and the team at 1 News at Six for their excellent news story, which you can view at the below link.
